Hello, I'm Cornelius - your event photographer from Frankfurt.

Privately, I like to go salsa dancing. Professionally, I have a soft spot for conferences, meetings or anniversaries with evening events.

My style: discreet

I follow the event from different perspectives and am always on the move.

My aim is to mingle unnoticed with the guests. Because the best shots are taken when people feel unobserved!

Good preparation is important to me in order to be in the right place at the right time.

My style in event photography

Event photos of congresses, conferences and meetings.

The speakers, the audience and the special guests should be photographed unobtrusively and authentically.

That’s exactly my thing: capturing the atmosphere of the location, recording the interaction and moods and expressing them in a modern visual language.

This requires foresighted thinking, quick action and flexibility.

Outdoor events

Outdoor events have their very own character.
It is usually more casual, the weather and the lighting mood cannot be controlled.
The sun also creates shadows.
That’s one reason for me to have my flash with me even when the weather is nice.

FAQ

What prices do you take?

The costs for event photos are essentially determined by two factors:

  • How much time do you spend on photography and image editing?
  • What is the value of the photos?

Other cost factors include, for example:

  • Travel expenses
  • elaborate retouching
  • Express service

Example: For two hours of photography at the trade fair in Frankfurt I charge 350 euros incl. including image processing and online gallery, for a whole day (8-10h) it is 1200 Euro (plus VAT)

In principle, the simple rights of use for social media, web and journalistic purposes are included, unlimited in time and space.

Separate agreements apply for posters or other large formats, for classic advertisements or print products, because the value is then different.
It is also possible to extend the rights of use for each individual image after production.

Yes, basically always.
I invest at least 50 percent of the time I spend photographing in image editing to refine the effect or to remove distracting image elements.

Depending on the type of event, between 30 and 50 edited images are usually produced per hour of event photography.

It is important to obtain the consent of the guests.
Ideally in writing (GDPR-compliant) with advance notice that photographs will be taken at the event.

In practice, it’s the exception that someone doesn’t want to be photographed.
That’s not a problem!
People are welcome to contact me and I will make sure that they are not in the picture when I take the photo.
I am happy to advise you if you are unsure.

It is very valuable when we discuss the agenda in advance so that I can prepare myself for what will happen next.

My photographic style is the reportage style.
I use different focal lengths and locations to show the context as well as the details.

When taking photographs, I am the sympathetic observer of the event.
I see myself as a guest and benevolent observer of the event with a sensitive eye for the essentials.

My aim is to capture the mood of the event and not to create an atmosphere.
That’s why I integrate myself into the audience as much as possible, because the easiest way to take authentic photos is to be inconspicuous.

If necessary, I also take the liberty of taking a favorable position or staging a scene.
This is important for group portraits!

In most cases, I come alone.

However, some tasks can only be accomplished as a team, especially for large events and where maximum flexibility is required.

If I have to be absent for important reasons, I have colleagues who could stand in for me.
Fortunately, this has never been necessary so far.

You can get the best 10 photos of the day in the evening by arrangement and at no extra cost, the remaining photos will be ready within a few days.

Fortunately, this has never happened, but just in case, I always have a second camera and several lenses and memory cards with me.

Speaking of security: the files are backed up twice on physically separate storage media during all phases of image processing.

Yes, you can do that too.
I am a photographer and videographer and know my way around video production.

This option is ideal for trade fairs.
I can film visitors streaming into the halls in the morning, photograph the many talks and product presentations in the afternoon and shoot interviews with important visitors or the CEO in between.

At congresses or conferences, I can photograph the speakers and conduct video interviews with selected participants during the breaks or at the end of the event.
